The Niagara Whirlpool and cable car.

Located downstream from the Falls, with a depth of 38 metres or 125 feet, the whirlpool was formed about 4,000 years ago where the Niagara River made a sharp turn, causing the rushing water to swirl trying to make the turn into the ongoing river. It’s optional, and only if time allows, you can traverse the powerful water on the Whirlpool Cable car, another fantastic experience at Niagara Falls.

Ride one of the Niagara Helicopters for a sight to behold.

Strictly optional, but an incredible experience for those that want to get the big picture. This 10-minute ride over the Niagara Gorge, Whirlpool, rapids and all three falls at Niagara is something you should consider a must on your tour.

The Niagara Parkway. Beauty and serenity traveled in comfort.

Niagara Falls Floral Clock

Built in 1950, this beautiful floral clock with more than 19,000 plants, is a photo must for visitors. Maintained by the gardeners of the Niagara Parks and powered by Canadian hydro, you can feel the beauty.

Brocks Monument and the beginning of Niagara Falls

Your guide will give you the scoop, but here’s is where the Falls began more than 12,000 years ago and the end of the last ice age. Continue along the Niagara Parkway, passing some of our exceptional wineries. You’ll also learn about Ice Wine and why Niagara is the world leader in ice wine production. Then it’s on to the picturesque town of Niagara on the Lake, the first Capital of Upper Canada and a must see for everyone visiting Niagara Falls and area.

Niagara on the Lake, where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario.

Niagara-on-the-Lake teems with historical plaques, reflecting its significance in the establishment of the first newspaper, lending library, parliament, historical museum, and governing body for the legal profession. Critical battles in the defense of Upper Canada took place at Queenston, including one in which heroine Laura Secord gained her fame. Regency and Classical Revival buildings, from the post-war of 1812, can be seen throughout the town too. A stroll among the shops and history is a wonderful way to end your Tour of Niagara Falls with Niagara’s tour leader, Niagara Airbus.
